Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how IVKApps handles information when you use GPSly (the “App”). GPSly is designed to diagnose and display the performance of your device's GPS/GNSS hardware while minimizing data collection.
1. Location and GNSS data
GPSly requests precise and approximate location permission because Android requires location access for GPS/GNSS diagnostics. While the App is in use, it may access and display your live latitude and longitude, location accuracy, altitude, speed, bearing, satellite information, signal strength, fix status, and related GNSS measurements.
Your latitude and longitude are used in real time and are not saved in GPSly's test history or sent to IVKApps.
2. GPS test history
GPSly can save diagnostic test results locally on your device. Saved results may include the test date/time, diagnostic score and status, accuracy measurements, satellite counts, signal-strength measurements, fix availability, detected satellite constellations, stability measurements, test duration, and score breakdowns.
Session samples may also store elapsed time, accuracy, visible and used satellite counts, average signal strength, and whether a valid fix was available. These records do not contain latitude or longitude.
3. Local storage and deletion
GPSly's test history and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can delete saved history using the App's controls, clear the App's storage through Android settings, or remove local App data by uninstalling GPSly.
Android or your device manufacturer may provide operating-system backup or device-transfer features that can include some locally stored App data, depending on your device and backup settings. These system features are controlled by the platform or device provider, not by an IVKApps cloud account.
4. Camera access
GPSly may request camera permission for optional augmented-reality satellite visualization features. Camera frames are used on the device to provide the live AR view. GPSly does not intentionally upload camera photos or video to IVKApps and does not store camera recordings as part of this feature.
5. Sharing results
If you choose to use GPSly's share feature, the App can create a diagnostic result or comparison image/report and open Android's system sharing interface. Sharing happens only when you initiate it and choose a destination app or service.
GPSly's generated diagnostic shares contain GPS performance information and do not include your latitude or longitude. Any app or service you choose as the sharing destination is governed by its own privacy practices.
6. Accounts, advertising and analytics
GPSly does not require or provide a user account or sign-in system. The current version does not use AdMob or another advertising SDK, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or an IVKApps analytics service to track how you use the App.
7. Network and cloud services
The current GPSly features do not send your location coordinates, saved test history, or diagnostic sessions to an IVKApps server or cloud backend. GPSly is designed so its GPS/GNSS diagnostics and saved history operate on your device.
8. Data we do not intentionally collect
IVKApps does not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, account credentials, advertising identifier, photos, videos, audio recordings, latitude/longitude history, or GPSly test-history database through the current App features.
9. Permissions
Location: used for live GPS/GNSS diagnostics and satellite-related functionality.
Camera: used only for optional camera/AR satellite visualization.
Internet: the App declares Internet access, but the current GPSly diagnostic features do not use it to upload your location coordinates or test history to IVKApps.
10. Children's privacy
GPSly is a technical GPS/GNSS diagnostic utility and is not designed to collect personal information from children. IVKApps does not operate user accounts or a cloud profile system within GPSly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if GPSly's features, permissions, third-party services, or data practices change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
